Having problems connecting a CDQ Prima 110 to an new BT ISDN 2e line. The codec reports ISDN Down whenever an attempt is made to dial out.

The codec was tested before shipping and I have tested it on another (none BT) ISDN line and it connected to the BT loopback number.

I have access to an ISDN test phone and have used the phone to make test calls via the line that wont work with the codec. So is it possible BT have done something wrong at their end with the line setup? If so has anyone any ideas what I can tell them to change?

Hello Mark,

It is possible that they've setup the line for point-to-point instead of point-to-multipoint. The test phone probably works with both modes, but the CDQ Prima really needs it to be point-to-multipoint.

PS: This is just a configuration change at the exchange and should not require an engineer to visit you.
