this is the second time I have had a fault with my unit not loading and stating the message "hold". I have sent it away for mending but wondered if there is anything I can do to rectify it myself and save the repair costs?

Hello,

The "Hold" status stops the boot process of the Prima so you can upload new firmware over the serial remote control port. You get into this mode by holding down the "Arrow Up" key while the Prima is booting.

It seems that your Prima thinks that the "Arrow Up" key is held down while it is booting -  maybe it is stuck? Otherwise there may be something wrong with the ribbon cable connecting the keypad controller and the main board.

Hope this helps!

Edwin.
